Tours

Library staff are available to provide guided tours of Spencer’s third-floor public spaces, particularly the North Gallery - the building’s signature feature - and the memorial lounge and office.

Regularly-scheduled guided tours are offered weekly on Friday at 1pm. They are free and open to the everyone. The tours begin in the third-floor reception area at Spencer Research Library and last approximately one hour. During each tour, library staff use spaces and collections to share fascinating stories about KU, Kansas, and the world. Visitors also have time to ask questions and explore the exhibits and spaces on their own.

We also welcome on- and off-campus groups to visit and explore Spencer Research Library. Groups can request a guided tour, which can be a more extended presentation about the library's collections and showcase examples. For more information, contact Caitlin Donnelly Klepper, Head of Public Services, at cdonnelly@ku.edu or 785-864-4456.
