The Spencer Research Library is located on Poplar Lane on the University of Kansas main campus in Lawrence. Visitors arriving by automobile can receive directions to the library by asking at the campus traffic control booths where they can also get information about parking.

Pedestrians can reach the library by passing through the rotunda of Strong Hall on Jayhawk Boulevard and crossing the terrace which connects Strong with the Spencer Library or by entering the ground floor door of Spencer from the covered parking area off Poplar Lane.Visitors arriving by air should fly to Kansas City International Airport.

Various car rental agencies have offices at the airport; directions to Lawrence can be obtained from them. Travellers preferring not to drive themselves should call or write the library in advance concerning airport shuttle services.
