American Extremists

Wilcox’s more recent publications include his series of guides to the American Right and the American Left that were published for more than 20 years. In 1992 a book that he had written with John George was published: Nazis, Communists, Klansmen, and Others On the Fringe: Political Extremism in America. Three years later, after the Oklahoma City bombing, his publisher, Prometheus Books, asked him to do another edition in paperback. For this version the title was changed and a chapter on militias was added.
