YOU CAN HELP TELL THE STORY!

Librarians and archivists continue to seek out personal letters, diaries, speeches, scrapbooks, and photographs of individuals, as well as other materials that document Sumner's history more formally, such as yearbooks, photographs, class papers, and recorded reminiscences. The Sumner High School Alumni Association Collection is not static; it is intended to grow!
Time is running out. We need your help in further documenting the contributions of African Americans to the social and educational life of the state and the region. If you have materials about Sumner, or papers that relate to your experiences (or those of your family) in Kansas and the Great Plains region, please contact us.
