Thank you for requesting information from the Spencer Research Library E-mail reference service. Estimated response time is as follows:

• KU students, faculty, and staff - 3 working days
• Questions from outside of KU - 20 working days
  Because the library receives several hundred questions each year, staff review inquiries from beyond the KU community to determine whether the Spencer Library is the only source for the answer. Staff will be able to give these questions only limited time, typically less than thirty minutes per question.

For topics that do not require the use of the Spencer Library, staff will help questioners find alternate sources, such as a closer library.
