Search the Spencer Library Holdings

A small yet significant number of Spencer Library items can be found in the University's online catalog. Use the following instructions to limit an online catalog search to Spencer Library holdings only.

• Click on "Basic Searches" from the main page of the KU Library Catalog.
• Go to bottom left corner and click on "Set Other Search Limits."
• Under "Library Locations" scroll to "Spencer Research Library."
• Click on "Set Search Limits."
• KU Library Catalog

Type in search terms or phrases. At this point, all searching will locate only those materials held in the Spencer Research Library. These materials include items from both the Kansas Collection and the Dept. of Special Collections.
